Animals in Quarantine

Intake Date: 06/19/2022

This is a male, adult, very poor condition. Extremely dehydrated and malnourished with a right eye injury. He was picked up by a super sweet couple who named him Reginald L. He had fluids at the vet  and we’re continuing critical care here at the sanctuary. Hoping we can get this guy back on his feet and back home.

Intake Date: 07/19/2022

This python was surrendered with the boa constrictor and is definitely the worst of the two. He is very underweight with poor muscle tone. His tail is severely kinked, probably at birth, and what appears to be a severe burn down the back of his neck. We are hoping he will put weight on and make a full recovery. 

Intake Date: 08/11/2022

This Blue Tongue Skink (Halmahera Indonesian) was surrendered to us after the owner battled many health issues. The previous owner's husbandry was not up to par, and we suspect that is the main cause of the health issues. There's an old wound on his head, he has lost 25% of his body weight since March, and came to us extremely underweight and lethargic. He has been on a full course of antibiotics so far, and has been gaining a little bit of strength. 

River was surrendered to us from very loving owners. They want the best for her. She was a little overweight and seems to have back or spine issues, causing a humpback. This could happen from improper nutrition or lack of UV. We are monitoring her closely and hoping she can recover to live a normal life.
